Main Description

The main body of this spectacular coin is recessed to allow for a separate central disc to rotate in the middle of the coin. The outer edge of the coin itself shows the 12 participating member nations whilst the central disc depicts a map of Europe with the 12 countries pinpointed with a star. The central disc contains an arrow-shaped aperture which when pointed to an individual country reveals the exchange rate from its currency to the Euro on the date of the inauguration, and will be a unique and permanent reminder of these European Currencies.
