Shri Parathasarathy Temple

Located at Triplicane High Road is Sri Parthasarathy Temple. This Hindu Temple, devoted to Lord Krishna, was built in the 8th Century by Pallava King and has been ornately renovated since. It is one of the oldest surviving temples in Chennai.
Time: Morning 6.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m, Evening: 3.00 p.m to 8.00 p.m Triplicane, Chennai.

Kapaleeswarar Temple

This Lord Shiva temple is little more that 350 years old, is considered by Hindus to be one of the most sacred sites in Southern Part of India. It displays the architectural elements of gopurams, mandapams and a tank found in the famous temples.

Time: Morning: 6.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. Evening: 4.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m Mylapore, Chennai.

 

Sri Vadapalani Andavar Temple

Built about 125 years back, this much-hallowed and regularly frequented Muruga sannidhi has emerged from a thatched shed. This renowned temple, a little over a century old, is of great beauty and grandeur. Dedicated to Sri Palani Andavar, it has an exquisite 4 feet sculpture of the presiding deity.

Time : Morning 6.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. Evening 3.00 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.

 

 

 

Ashtalakshmi Temple

Ashtalakshmi Temple is a recently built temple that stands on the shores of Bay of Bengal. The temple is situated in the Besant Nagar suburbs of Chennai city. The temple is grounded on the southern tip of a popular beach of Chennai that is Elliot's beach. The Tiruvanmiyur Bus Station is only a couple of kilometres away and provides easy access to the place.
Time: Morning: 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Evening: 4.00 p.m. to 8.30 p.m Elliots Beach, Besant Nagar, Chennai.

Mangadu Kamakshiamman Temple

This temple is said to have been in existence from ancient times. Kamakshi or Parvati is enshrined here celebrating her austere peance and meditation. This temple is believed to have been in existence during the peirod of Aadi Sankaracharya.
Time: Morning: 6.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. Evening: 3.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m Mangadu, Chennai.
