Sambathgowri Amman Nandhikeswarar Siva Temple Arulmigu Maha Sambathgowri Amman - Nandhikeswarar Siva temple lies in the heart of the Thuraiyur town, 48 kms from Tiruchirappalli. During 8th - 14th centuries the temple is developed and added with shrines. The temple tank is called 'Nandhi Theertham. It is told that the Sundra Chozhan, named the Linga here as 'Nandhikeswarar'. During all fridays, during raghukalam (10.30 am to 12.00 Noon ) Special poojas are conducted for this Goddess, to expiate the sin of Raghu- Kethu, delay in marriages etc. |
