Karnataka is a state and a part of south India. It is the 8th
largest state in india both in area and in population is a land of
royal grandeur and oriental glory. The language of the state
is kannada. The river Cauvery originates from 'Thalai Kaveri' in
Coorg and fertile the state.
Karnataka Formely known Mysore state got its name changed to
Karnataka state on November 1, 1973. This State is Situated on the
western edge of the Deccan Plateau and has a 287 km coastline on the
west.
It is a land with abounding scenic beauty and charm. It is well
known for lovely gardens, ornate temples and historical monuments.
The ruler of the past have left their imprints in the architecture

spreads to an area of191, 791 sq kms consisting 20 districts.
