Andhra Pradesh is a part of south India and fifth largest state in India in area and population consisting of 23 districts. Its territory is very close to Chennai city just 80kms (Shriharkotta, coastal village of ISRO). the state is divided into two regions such as Telangana and Rayalaseema.

Hyderabad is the administrative capital of the state and ranks 2nd place in Information Technology and Tidal parks with twin cities Hyderabad and Secundrabad. The city is much developed industrially. It is an important tourist centre, since being a kingdom of Nizam. The city is well possessed with fine restaurants for different categories of tourists. Hyderabad is famous for biriyani and world number one.

Site Scenes

Charminar, Golconda fort, Salarjung museum, City zoo, Birlla mandir and Nizam palaces are site worthy. The city is well connected by road, rail and airways. It is in Deccan plateau.

People and Culture

Andhra Pradesh people are civilized, very cultured and hard working since seasoned in tropical climate. The spoken language is Telugu. In literacy 46%(1991 statistics). Andhra Pradesh is famous for special dishes like chutneys of different varieties and pickles of various types. The 'Kuchupudi' is the very ancient cultural dance of the state.

Crops

Rice, tobacco, cotton, sugarcane, ground nuts and millets. River Krishna and Gothavari are the main water sources fertile this state.

Temple and Religious Centers

Thirrupathi, Srikalahasthi, Srisailam, Simhachalam, Annavaram, Sri Sathyasai Prashanthi Nilayam, Mantralayam are some of the important temple and religious centers. Thirrupathi is a famous religious center of India with a numerous floating population of pilgrims from different states of India and from abroad. This is the second most visited religious centers in the world after Vatican (Italy).

Major tours of Andhra Pradesh

Vijayavada, Vishakapatnam, Kadapa, Rajamundri,Kurnoon, Cuddatah, Chithoor, Nellore, Warangal, Kakinada Port, Machulipatnam port are important towns.

Nizam palaces, Charminar, ruins of Vijanagara empire of Sri Krishna Devarayar

Festivals

Deepavali, Ugadhi (Telugu new years day) and Sankaranthi are celebrated in  elaborate scale in Andhra Pradesh with special entertainments and amusements.
